Principal Investigator

Yoed N. Kenett, PhD

My research broadly aims to comprehend the role of knowledge in higher-level cognition, in typical and atypical populations. I completed a Bachelor of Art in Cognitive Science and Psychology (2007) and a Master of Art in Cognitive Science (2009) at the Hebrew University at Jerusalem. I then earned my Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Leslie and Susan Gonda Brain Research Center at Bar-Ilan University (2015), working with Miriam Faust and David Anaki. Following my Ph.D., I completed my postdoctoral training in Cognitive Neuroscience at Brown University (2015-2016), working with Joseph Austerweil and Bertram Malle, and at the University of Pennsylvania (2016-2020), working with Sharon Thompson-Schill and Anjan Chatterjee. I joined the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management as a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in August 2020.

Research Associate

Ariel Kreisberg Nitzav

I am a fourth-year student at the Data Science and Engineering program at the Technion’s Industrial Engineering and Management faculty. During my studies, I acquired skills in the fields of processing, analysis, and presentation of data in multiple domains. I am enthusiastic about linguistics, arts and music, and interested in semantics, cognition, creativity, and their analysis using computational tools.

Graduate Students

Noam Gooz

I am a master’s student of behavioral science in the program of cognitive psychology and human-factor engineering at the Technion’s Industrial Engineering and Management faculty. Under Prof. Rakefet Ackerman and Ph.D. Yoed Kenett’s supervision, I explore the meta-cognition of creative processes and their structures.

Gal Samuel

I am a Cognitive Psychology and Human Factors Engineering master’s student at the Technion. I am interested in predicting cognitive properties and behavior using cognitive networks and computational tools. I have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Cognitive Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2020).

Adi Ezer

I am a master’s student in Organizational Psychology at the Technion’s Industrial Engineering and Management faculty. I am exploring curiosity as a motivational urge in organizations, under the supervision of Ph.D. Yoed Kenett and Professor Anat Rafaeli.

Ruth Levav

I am a master’s student of behavioral science at the Technion’s Industrial Engineering and Management faculty in the program of Cognitive Psychology and Human-Factor engineering. Under Ph.D. Kinneret Teodorescu and Ph.D. Yoed Kenett’s supervision, I explore the effect of search behaviors on the structure of cognitive networks.

Alon Tsaizel

I am a Data Science MSc student at the Technion’s Industrial Engineering and Management faculty, in the “Alonim” excellence program, a part of the IDF’s Academic Reserve. Under Ph.D. Yoed Kenett’s supervision, I explore the influence of cognitive and behavioral measures on intelligence using machine learning models.

Undergraduate Students

Ido Patish

I am a student at the Technion Excellence Program, focusing on the curriculum of Math and Physics. I am intrigued by exploring the nature of our logical and intellectual abilities, from a neuroscientific as well as philosophical perspective. In addition, I am fascinated by the possibility of analyzing those abilities using mathematical and formal tools.
